Autumn Business Summitt

"Dare to Include"

As part of Mayo Social Inclusion Week, Westport Chamber held the 'Dare to Include' business summit, together with The Disability Federation of Ireland's aim to stimulate business owners to consider how their activities can be open to all members of society, both as employees and as customers.  Participation of persons with disabilities in employment is one of the lowest in the EU-28. An 'Inclusive Destination Westport' will create opportunities in employment and leisure across our community.

The Westport Chamber was awarded winner of the ‘Event of the Year’ category at the Chambers Ireland Awards 2022 in The Crowne Plaza Dublin for the ‘Dare to Include’ Business Summit. This wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic team who organised the event and it's wonderful speakers.
A special thanks to Westport Chamber committee member and event organiser James O'Doherty who accepted the award on behalf of the Westport Chamber.
