Chambers Ireland Chief Executive Forum brought together Chamber CEOs from across Ireland to connect, collaborate, and share insights on the key challenges and opportunities shaping our communities. last week’s forum took place in Limerick, where they spent two valuable days exploring the region’s economic ambitions and future plans.
Key topics covered included Europe’s deepest port and the potential for offshore energy with Jerry Hallissey, Shannon Foynes , climate challenges and hydrogen development in Tarbert with Karen O’Reilly (SSE) and navigating economic uncertainty with Professor Stephen Kinsella.
They also heard from Ireland’s first directly elected mayor, John Moran, who shared his bold vision for Limerick. Elaine O’Connor and Pat Daly, Limerick City and County Council spoke about the anticipated impact of the Ryder Cup 2027 and Enda Power gave an update on Limerick 2030 and the city’s wider economic development strategy.
