Strengthening connections between Germany and Westport

It was a pleasure to welcome German Ambassador to Ireland, David Gill, to Westport on Monday September 21st , where he met with representatives from the local business community, including Westport Chamber, Destination Westport, Mayo LEO and Deputy Keira Keogh TD.

The visit highlighted the importance of strengthening the longstanding connections between Germany and Ireland, while exploring opportunities for greater collaboration, trade, tourism and business development.

For Westport and the wider Mayo business community, building international connections like these creates opportunities to showcase what the region has to offer and to develop new relationships with businesses, investors and visitors from Germany.

A valuable opportunity to strengthen the links between our two countries and highlight Westport as a place to do business, visit and invest.
